Atlas was delegating tasks one-by-one because the workflow framed parallel
as a conditional ("if tasks can run in parallel..."), letting models default
to the safer sequential path. The new shared ATLAS_PARALLEL_BY_DEFAULT block
flips the default: parallel is mandatory; sequential requires a NAMED
blocking dependency (input dependency or file conflict).
Adds two new prompt variants — kimi (K2.6 thinking-mode calibration:
commitment framing + concrete budgets) and opus-4-7 (counters 4.7's lower
default subagent count and literal-following bias). Recalibrates default
(Claude 4.6 family), gpt (GPT-5.5 outcome-first / decision rules over
absolutes), and gemini (preserves TOOL_CALL_MANDATE; replaces stale
session_id with task_id). All five variants share the parallel mandate
positioned BEFORE the workflow so "mandate above" references resolve.
Strengthens the orchestrator-direct-edit reminder hooks
(ORCHESTRATOR_DELEGATION_REQUIRED + DIRECT_WORK_REMINDER) with the central
challenge "Do you ACTUALLY need to be the one doing this?" — replacing the
previous bullet-heavy framing.
Tests now parametrized over all 5 variants. Adds prompt-routing.test
covering GPT/Gemini/Kimi/Opus 4.7/default routing and edge cases, plus a
session_id rejection test (every variant must use task_id for retries).
Built-in agents (Sisyphus, Hephaestus, Atlas) now include explicit
identity section in their system prompts, matching custom agent behavior.
12 agent identity tests pass, 266 total pass, tsc clean.
Closes#2964
These agents should only be usable as primary session agents, not as
subagent targets via call_omo_agent/task(). Previously MODE was 'all'
which allowed them to be spawned as subagents, leading to confusing
behavior (e.g. Atlas delegating to Hephaestus as a subagent).
Subagent-callable agents remain: oracle, explore, librarian,
multimodal-looker, metis, momus, sisyphus-junior.
Note: Prometheus is not a BuiltinAgentName and is only invoked via
slash commands, so no change needed there.
Align runtime defaults, tests, docs, and generated artifacts with the newer GPT-5.4 baseline. Keep think-mode and prompt-routing expectations consistent after the model version bump.
- fix(hooks): skip todo continuation when agent has pending question (#1888)
Add pending-question-detection module that walks messages backwards
to detect unanswered question tool_use, preventing CONTINUATION_PROMPT
injection while awaiting user response.
- fix(config): allow custom agent names in disabled_agents (#1693)
Change disabled_agents schema from BuiltinAgentNameSchema to z.string()
and add filterDisabledAgents helper in agent-config-handler to filter
user, project, and plugin agents with case-insensitive matching.
- fix(agents): change primary agents mode to 'all' (#1891)
Update Sisyphus, Hephaestus, and Atlas agent modes from 'primary'
to 'all' so they are available for @mention routing and task()
delegation in addition to direct chat.
Add 'gemini' to prompt source types and route Gemini models to new
Gemini-optimized prompts via isGeminiModel detection. Update barrel
exports for all 3 agent modules. All existing tests pass.
Remove crash-causing name fields from 6 agent configs (sisyphus, hephaestus,
atlas, metis, momus, prometheus). The name field approach breaks opencode
because Agent.get(agent.name) uses name as lookup key.
Add getAgentConfigKey() to agent-display-names.ts for resolving display names
back to lowercase config keys (e.g. 'Atlas (Plan Executor)' -> 'atlas').
Allow individual categories to be disabled via `disable: true` in
config. Introduce shared `mergeCategories()` utility to centralize
category merging and disabled filtering across all 7 consumption sites.
