The deep and artistry category fallback chains had no opencode-go provider
entries, causing them to fall through to the ultimate fallback
(opencode/gpt-5-nano) which is not available to opencode-go users.
Add opencode-go entries:
- deep: deepseek-v4-pro -> kimi-k2.6 -> glm-5.1
- artistry: kimi-k2.6 -> glm-5.1
Fixes#3924
Source code change:
- src/shared/model-requirements.ts: prepend claude-sonnet-4-6 to metis fallback
chain so Sonnet becomes the default. Opus 4.7 max remains as the immediate
fallback for callers who want extra reasoning.
- src/shared/model-requirements.test.ts: update assertion to expect Sonnet
primary + Opus secondary.
AGENTS.md accuracy fixes (verified against source):
- Agent modes: Sisyphus/Hephaestus are 'primary' (not 'all'); Sisyphus-Junior
is 'subagent' (not 'all'). Confirmed via 'const MODE: AgentMode = ...' in
each agent file. Also clarified Prometheus has no agentSources factory and
is built via buildPrometheusAgentConfig.
- Sisyphus fallback chain: corrected order to kimi-k2.6 → k2p5 → kimi-k2.5
→ gpt-5.5 medium → glm-5 → big-pickle (was missing kimi-k2.5).
- Librarian/Explore: added missing minimax-m2.7 step between -highspeed and
claude-haiku-4-5.
- Metis chain: removed fictitious gemini-3.1-pro entry.
- Sisyphus-Junior chain: spelled out the actual fallback (was 'user-configurable').
- Temperatures: Sisyphus/Hephaestus do not set explicit temperature (model
default); Sisyphus-Junior is 0.1 via SISYPHUS_JUNIOR_DEFAULTS.
- Quick category default: gpt-5.4-mini (not gpt-5.4-mini-fast).
Team-mode corrections:
- Eligibility registry has 3 verdicts: eligible (sisyphus, atlas, sisyphus-junior),
conditional (hephaestus — needs D-36 teammate permission), hard-reject
(oracle, librarian, explore, multimodal-looker, metis, momus, prometheus).
- Schema has 11 fields, not 4: added max_messages_per_run, max_wall_clock_minutes,
max_member_turns, base_dir, message_payload_max_bytes, recipient_unread_max_bytes,
mailbox_poll_interval_ms.
- Hooks: 'team-session-events' is 4 sub-handlers in src/plugin/event.ts
(team-idle-wake-hint, team-lead-orphan-handler, team-member-error-handler,
team-member-status-handler), not a single Continuation-tier hook.
- Tier counts now show base + team-mode: ToolGuard 14/15, Transform 5/7.
- Total: 52 base hooks, 59 with team-mode.
Doc cascade for the Metis change:
- docs/guide/orchestration.md, agent-model-matching.md, installation.md
- docs/reference/configuration.md, features.md
Now that each of these agents ships a native gpt-5.5 prompt variant,
their default OpenAI model is bumped from gpt-5.4 to gpt-5.5. The
gpt-5.4 entries are removed from the same-provider position in each
fallback chain (a single provider doesn't need both version entries -
if gpt-5.5 isn't available there, cross-provider fallback kicks in).
- oracle.fallbackChain: gpt-5.5 high (openai) -> gemini-3.1-pro -> claude -> glm
- hephaestus.fallbackChain: gpt-5.5 medium (openai only, requiresProvider)
- deep category.fallbackChain: gpt-5.5 medium -> claude -> gemini
- deep category.config: openai/gpt-5.5 medium
No changes to sisyphus, sisyphus-junior, ultrabrain, momus, or other
agents that still point at gpt-5.4; those stay on the shared regex-
based routing in the gpt-5-4 prompt family.
Use gpt-5.4-mini-fast as the primary runtime model for librarian and explore.\nKeep the fallback chain intact so older providers still resolve.

Updates the canonical Anthropic Opus model in every fallback chain
(sisyphus, oracle, prometheus, metis, momus, visual-engineering,
ultrabrain, deep, artistry, unspecified-high), the unspecified-high
category default, the think-mode HIGH_VARIANT_MAP, the Claude Code
alias map, the claude-thinking legacy alias, the context-limit GA
regex, and event.ts fallback strings.
Widens supportsCachedAnthropicLimit to accept both claude-*-4-6 and
claude-*-4-7 so the 1M context cache still applies across the bump.
Regenerates the bundled model-capabilities snapshot from models.dev
and the model-fallback snapshot to match the new source output.
Adds vercel to every fallback entry where the model exists on the
gateway (kimi-k2.5, glm-5, glm-4.6v, minimax-m2.7, grok-code-fast-1,
gpt-5-nano). Adds inferSubProvider mappings for minimax, moonshotai,
and zai. Updates librarian/explore special cases to prefer minimax
via gateway over claude-haiku.
Adds 'vercel' as a recognized provider throughout the model resolution
system, enabling users with Vercel AI Gateway to use it as a universal
fallback for OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google models.
The gateway transform infers the sub-provider from canonical model names
(claude->anthropic, gpt->openai, gemini->google) and delegates to the
appropriate provider-specific transform, producing model strings like
vercel/anthropic/claude-opus-4.6.
Deep category now uses gpt-5.4 as its default model across all providers
(openai, github-copilot, venice, opencode), matching Hephaestus's GPT 5.4
upgrade. The requiresModel constraint is removed since gpt-5.4 is widely
available. Adds openai/gpt-5.3-codex -> openai/gpt-5.4 config migration
for existing user configs. Deep category prompt optimized for GPT 5.4's
stronger native capabilities (leaner, less verbose).
Hephaestus now uses gpt-5.4 as its default model across all providers
(openai, github-copilot, venice, opencode), matching Sisyphus's GPT 5.4
support. The separate gpt-5.3-codex → github-copilot fallback entry is
removed since gpt-5.4 is available on all required providers.
Add support for object-style entries in fallback_models arrays, enabling
per-model configuration of variant, reasoningEffort, temperature, top_p,
maxTokens, and thinking settings.
- Zod schema for FallbackModelObject with full validation
- normalizeFallbackModels() and flattenToFallbackModelStrings() utilities
- Provider-agnostic model resolution pipeline with fallback chain
- Session prompt params state management
- Fallback chain construction with prefix-match lookup
- Integration across delegate-task, background-agent, and plugin layers
- Upgrade minimax-m2.5 → minimax-m2.7 (latest model) across all agents and categories
- Replace minimax-m2.5-free with minimax-m2.7-highspeed (optimized speed variant)
- Expand MiniMax fallback coverage to atlas, sisyphus-junior, writing, and unspecified-low
- Add isMiniMaxModel() detection function in types.ts for model family detection
- Update all tests (58 passing) and documentation
Keep install-time and runtime model tables in sync, stop OpenAI-only misrouting when OpenCode Go is present, and add valid OpenAI fallbacks for atlas, metis, and sisyphus-junior.

Change multimodal-looker's primary model from gpt-5.3-codex to gpt-5.4 medium
in both runtime and CLI fallback chains.
Changes:
- Runtime chain (src/shared/model-requirements.ts): primary now gpt-5.4
- CLI chain (src/cli/model-fallback-requirements.ts): primary now gpt-5.4
- Updated test expectations in model-requirements.test.ts
- Updated config-manager.test.ts assertion
- Updated model-fallback snapshots
Sisyphus can now fall back through Kimi and OpenAI models when Claude
is unavailable, enabling OpenAI-only users to use Sisyphus directly
instead of being redirected to Hephaestus.
Runtime chain: claude-opus-4-6 max → k2p5 → kimi-k2.5 → gpt-5.4 medium → glm-5 → big-pickle
CLI chain: claude-opus-4-6 max → k2p5 → gpt-5.4 medium → glm-5
Sisyphus-Junior was missing from BuiltinAgentName type, agentSources map,
barrel exports, and AGENT_MODEL_REQUIREMENTS. This caused type inconsistencies
and prevented model-fallback hooks from working for sisyphus-junior sessions.
Closescode-yeongyu/oh-my-openagent#1697
Align runtime defaults, tests, docs, and generated artifacts with the newer GPT-5.4 baseline. Keep think-mode and prompt-routing expectations consistent after the model version bump.
kimi-k2.5-free is no longer available. Remove from all agent and category
fallback chains (sisyphus, multimodal-looker, prometheus, metis, atlas,
writing). Reorder multimodal-looker to: gpt-5.3-codex medium -> k2p5 ->
gemini-3-flash -> glm-4.6v -> gpt-5-nano.
GPT-5.3 Codex has strong multimodal capabilities. Promote it to first
candidate in multimodal-looker fallback chain, with gemini-3-flash
following (matching the ULW pattern of gpt-5.3-codex -> gemini).
gpt-5.3-codex is not available on GitHub Copilot. The fallback chains
incorrectly listed github-copilot as a valid provider for this model,
causing the doctor to report 'configured model github-copilot/gpt-5.3-codex
is not valid' for Hephaestus agent.
Affected agents: hephaestus (requiresProvider + fallbackChain)
Affected categories: ultrabrain, deep, unspecified-low
Copilot users can still use Hephaestus via openai or opencode providers.
